No AMC, and what replaces it

Most ERP vendors charge 18-22% of the project value every year as an annual maintenance contract. Onebook does not. You pay for hosting, and hosting includes support.

The lifetime warranty covers ERPNext and the custom apps we build for you, for as long as Onebook hosts your system. A bug in something we built is ours to fix, not a change request.

Security

  • SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA compliance.
  • Isolated environments for businesses with stricter security or scale needs.
  • Daily automated backups on every plan.

ERPNext is open source, so you can run it yourself on a server in your office or in your own AWS or Azure account. The software is free either way. What changes is who does the work, and what that work costs.

Self-hosting costs that never show on the invoice

  • People: someone has to patch, monitor and restore every month, with cover for leave and resignations.
  • Upgrades: every major ERPNext version needs a test run of your custom apps and data before you switch. Skip it and you fall behind on fixes.
  • Downtime: an outage during billing or dispatch stops invoices and trucks, and there is no one to claim a credit from.
  • Security records: auditors and large customers ask for access logs, encryption and patch history.
  • Disaster recovery: an offsite copy, and a restore you have actually tried.
  • Growth: cloud bills grow with storage and data transfer, and office servers need replacing every few years.

When self-hosting makes sense

  • You already run an IT team with 24/7 cover and ERPNext experience.
  • Your data rules require your own premises. Onebook Enterprise can still manage ERPNext on-premise or in a hybrid setup, so the operational work stays with us.

Your data, your exit

ERPNext is open source and your data is yours. If Onebook does not fit after implementation, we help you migrate back with no lock-in and no penalties.

Frequently asked questions

Does Onebook use Frappe Cloud?

No. Onebook hosts ERPNext on infrastructure it runs and monitors itself.

What uptime does Onebook commit to?

Monthly uptime of 99.5% on Micro, 99.9% on Growth and 99.95% on Enterprise, with service credits if we miss it.

Is it cheaper to host ERPNext on my own AWS account?

The server bill can look lower. But you also pay for someone to patch, monitor, back up, upgrade and fix ERPNext, and the cloud SLA covers only the server, not ERPNext. Onebook's fixed monthly fee covers all of that, with an uptime commitment for ERPNext itself.

Should I host ERPNext on-premise?

Only if you have a 24/7 IT team or data rules that require it. On-premise adds hardware, power, VPN access for branches and in-house backups. Onebook Enterprise can manage ERPNext on-premise or hybrid if you need it.

Is there an annual maintenance contract?

No. Support is included in hosting. There is no AMC.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

ERPNext and the custom apps Onebook builds for you, for as long as Onebook hosts your system.

Can ERPNext run on-premise?

Yes. The Enterprise plan offers on-premise or hybrid hosting.

Can I move my data out?

Yes. ERPNext is open source, your data is yours, and we help you migrate if you leave.
