How we compared
Onebook implements ERPNext, so we have a stake in this list. We have kept the facts to what each vendor publishes, linked at the end, and said where each option is the better choice. Prices change, so check each vendor before you decide.

Production and pricing cells come from the vendor sources below. Where a vendor's page is unclear or dated, we have said so and you should confirm with the vendor.
Tally Prime
- Choose it if accounting and GST are the core job and production is simple.
- Its help pages describe multiple BOMs per item, job work orders in both directions, manufacturing journals and work-in-progress tracking by godown.
- Look elsewhere if you need production planning across several plants, approvals by role, or one system for CRM, HR and stock.
Zoho
- Choose it if you want cloud accounting and simple assemblies, where a product is made from a few components.
- Zoho's help pages describe assemblies built from composite items. Zoho's knowledge base says manufacturing modules and work orders are not supported, though features change, so confirm.
- Look elsewhere if you need multi-level BOMs, work orders or production planning.
Odoo
- Choose it if you want a large app catalogue and are comfortable paying per user on Enterprise.
- Community is free, and Enterprise is licensed per user.
- Look elsewhere if you want every feature in an open-source edition with no per-user licence.
SAP Business One
- Choose it if you have SAP skills and a partner budget.
- SAP's documentation describes an MRP wizard that recommends production and purchase orders from sales orders, forecasts and BOMs.
- Look elsewhere if per-user licensing and implementation cost are a concern at your size. SAP does not publish one India price list, so ask a partner.
Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Choose it if Microsoft tools already run your business.
- Manufacturing is part of the Premium plan, not Essentials.
- Check availability and pricing with a Microsoft partner, as Microsoft's India page carries an availability note.
ERPNext
- Choose it if you want production, stock and accounts in one open-source system without a licence per user.
- BOMs, work orders, job cards and production planning come in the standard install.
- Look elsewhere if you want a large app marketplace, or you have no partner and no technical resource to implement it.
Five questions to choose
- Do you need production planning, or only accounting and stock?
- How many users will need a login in two years?
- Do you hold stock in more than one place?
- Does your CA need to stay in Tally?
- Who will implement and support it?
